Forlorn Pleides

Falling into…. despair

Festering wounds unseen

Failure seizes all thought

Forsake mad existence

Flee blind as fear…. engulfs

Fly to dark depths unknown

Foment restless sleeping

Thanks to:

Kira My Pen, My Sword   and
Greg Memoirs of a Dragon
for great poetry forms…..I stole the description below outright from Greg’s last poem.

PS: I will pay you later for the royalties 🙂

Pleiades:  This titled form was invented in 1999 by Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine’s Lead Editor. Only one word is allowed in the title followed by a single seven-line stanza. The first word in each line begins with the same letter as the title. Hortensia Anderson, a popular haiku and tanka poet, added her own requirement of restricting the line length to six syllables.

    • You will understand this. I have been falling into bipolar depression. I had a rope that I was using to climb out of it, but in the past 2 weeks I have had three triggers–betrayal, heartache and failing relationship–that have caused me to lose that rope and I am free falling into a dark abyss. So I am trying to work through it with a new, dark poetic blog with a fantasy theme. I hope that growing fairy wings will help me fly out….

I'm interested in your thoughts and ideas!
